On Monday Jeep launched its new and 3rd product of compass SUV the most affordable Jeep in India. Pricing of this jeep is aggressively at Rs 14.95 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
A new compass, limited 4WD is priced at Rs. 20.65 lakh. The company President and MD, FCA India says, we cannot compromise with the quality of a product, so it meets all global safety standards.
Tata assembles it's yet to be launched compact SUV, Nexon. But the thing is India is the fourth destination where Compass is assembled whereas China, Mexico, and Brazil is other three.
If we talk about compass engine options, then this vehicle comes with two engine options with a 2.0 Liter Multijet Turbo-Diesel and 1.4 Liter Multi-Air Petrol. Engine 2.0 produces 171 HP, and 350Nm of peak torque and petrol engine 1.4 churns out 160 HP and 250 Nm of peak torque.
A 6-speed manual transmission is the best part of diesel variant of this jeep. The vehicle will be available in Indian market in three trims- Sport, Longitude and Top of the line Limited. While the base Sports variant is offered in all black upholstery, Longitude and Limited gets dual tone cloth and leather upholstery respectively.
Jeep Compass will be available with three-years or 100,000 km manufacturer's warranty in addition to a Road Side Assistance package for three years.
