December release Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has broke IMAX records, where its tickets went on sale last night.
The movie trailer released during ESPNâ€™s Monday Night Football game that went hit in the audience. As a result of the broadcasting trailer, ESPN has grabbed about 13.5 million viewers for the match.
Online ticketers Fandango and Alamo Drafthouse have experienced a crash of the website due to outrage number of aspiring audience to get the tickets. Alamo Drafthouse has even apologized for same on Twitter.
According to Fandango, they â€˜experienced unprecedented ticketing demandâ€™. Declined to give exact ticket sales figures, they said that â€˜The Force Awakensâ€™ has crossed the previous record holder â€˜The Hunger Gamesâ€™ with eight times more ticket sales. Website MovieTickets.com estimates that 95 percent of tickets sold on the site in 24 hours.
Twitter had 1.1 million tweets regarding the trailer in 12 hours while FB accounts 8.8 million views of the trailer. Youtube has gained 13 million views of the trailer.
