According to the latest US market report, the online social networking service Facebook remains at the top of the table in the US app market and its Messenger has also stolen the number two position from video-sharing website YouTube.

As per the global digital media analytics firm comScore, Facebook has ranked as the number one Smartphone app, reaching 73.3% app audience, followed by Messenger (59.5%), YouTube (59.3%), and Google Search (52%).

“Apple ranked as the top OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) with 44.2% market share. On the other hand, Google Android ranked as the top Smartphone platform with 51.4% market share.”- Added comScore in a statement.

Apple Music is ahead of Snapchat i.e. at the number 14 position.

Twitter moved up to number 13.

WhatsApp with 900 million monthly active users is still on the Top 15 list.

Samsung ranked second with 27.3% market share, followed by LG (8.7%), Motorola (4.9%), and HTC (3.5%).

Approximately 192 million i.e. 77.1% people in the US own Smartphone’s.
